Consumers are becoming increasingly concerned about the quality of the nutritional products they are taking. Their loyalty and their purchase dollars will go toward those products in which they have confidence. Add to this the increasing potential for scrutiny from regulatory authorities, and quality becomes a primary concern.

At Monarch Nutraceuticals, we have invested millions of dollars in analytical testing equipment, personnel and procedures to ensure the quality and safety of our products. Our employees spend hundreds of hours each year in quality and safety training to ensure our unfailing commitment to quality.

Raw materials received for use in our manufacturing processes are quarantined until they have been evaluated by our Quality Assurance staff to ensure the identity and safety of the product. Typical tests conducted include active ingredient content, heavy metal content and microbiological safety.

Monarch has established a complete set of Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’S) which are strictly followed to ensure that you receive a consistent product from batch to batch. These SOP’S are an essential part of our commitment to following current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) so you can use Monarch mineral products with confidence. To ensure compliance with cGMP, Monarch undergoes an annual cGMP compliance audit by an independent auditing agency to verify that we are in strict compliance with cGMP’s.

All finished product is thoroughly tested to ensure compliance with active ingredient, heavy metal and microbiological specifications. If you have special requirements, we can create a custom specification for you to ensure that our products meet your unique specifications.

Raw Material Testing

All raw materials used by Monarch Nutraceuticals are given stringent internal specifications, both physical and chemical, and are rigorously tested to insure that they meet those specifications before they are released and allowed to be used in any production or manufacturing process.

All of our suppliers have also passed our Supplier Qualification Program, which is a system designed to verify the quality and integrity of our suppliers. This assists us in insuring that we are purchasing our raw ingredients from trusted sources that also believe in providing quality products as we do.

Kosher

All standard products produced by Monarch Nutraceuticals which are Kosher are certified by the Metropolitan Kashruth Council of Michigan.

Analytical Laboratory

Monarch Nutraceuticals utilizes an in-house analytical laboratory as well as an in-house microbiological laboratory. Our laboratories employ various testing equipment such as:

·         ICP-AES (Inductively Coupled Plasma- Atomic Emission Spectroscopy) for use of testing compositional mineral quantities within our products with accuracy to PPM levels.

·         ICP-MS (Inductively Coupled Plasma- Mass Spectroscopy) analyzers for use of testing compositional heavy metal quantities with accuracy up to PPB levels.

·         HPLC (High Pressure Liquid Chromatography) which has many uses some of which are testing the organic acids in some of our products.

·         FT-IR (Fourier Transform Infrared) which matches the ‘fingerprint’ of the substance to a known standard.

Quality Audits

Conducting quality audits is by far the best way for a company to ensure that its quality systems and/or the quality systems of its suppliers are adequate and effective. Monarch Nutraceuticals has considered it necessary to be audited at least once per year by Shuster Laboratories for compliance with GMP Manufacturing Practices for Nutritional Supplements.

Shuster provides a broad range of product testing, product development and quality assurance services to manufacturers, retailers and ingredient suppliers of foods, pharmaceuticals, nutritional supplements, personal care products and household chemical specialties.

This gives our customers confidence in our quality program and in our commitment to continual improvement. This enables us to provide the highest quality mineral ingredients to our customers.
